Florida State softball downs Tennessee, advances to WCWS Finals vs. Oklahoma
Florida State softball will play No. 1 Oklahoma for the National Championship.
The Seminoles only needed 1 win in 2 games to advance but left no doubt Monday evening. Florida State downed Tennessee, 5-1, behind a strong outing from the circle and solid performances from Area 51 and South Florida transfer Bethaney Keen.
Michaela Edenfield started things off following a Zaida Puni home run in the first inning. She launched a solo shot of her own to center field:

From there, all FSU had to do was coast to the 5-1 win. Hallie Wacaser smacked a 2-run home run of her own to solidify the final score.

Florida State’s next opponent is one of the toughest the game has ever seen. Oklahoma has won an incredible 51 games in a row and lost just once all season. Only Baylor has beaten the Sooners, 4-3 all the way back in February.
Let’s see what the Seminoles can do.
