Jonah Winston, Jameis' younger brother, discusses future recruitment, Florida State
Florida State legend Jameis Winston might not be the last player from his family to call Tallahassee home.
His younger brother, Jonah Winston, is a 2026 quarterback prospect and could soon be on the Seminoles’ radar.
Winston recently told Tomahawk Nation’s Max Escarpio that he met with Florida State coach Mike Norvell back in May. He also camped at Florida State this summer.
“The conversations I had with the coaches were great at the camp!” Winston told Escarpio. “I did get a chance to talk to coach Norvell when I went to my brother’s graduation. We basically just introduced ourselves to each other and talked about me coming to camp.”
Winston on the coaching staff:

While it’s still extremely early in his recruitment, it seems Florida State’s staff is making a good first impression on Winston. His older brother, of course, played for Jimbo Fisher from 2012-14.
Winston also acknowledged how meaningful it would be to pick up a Florida State offer at some point in the future.
Winston on a potential FSU offer continued:
“I will get better as I get older. If I was to get the offer and end up committing that would be amazing it would be like going back home!”
