Florida State and Clemson are both top-10 teams in the preseason AFCA Coaches Poll, released on Monday. North Carolina also made it into the poll at No. 20.

The Seminoles open as the highest-ranked team from the ACC, sitting at No. 8. Clemson is just a single spot behind them, at No. 9.

In total, there are 6 schools from the SEC in the preseason ranking, 5 each from the Pac-12 and the Big 12, 4 from the Big Ten, 3 from the ACC, 1 independent (Notre Dame at No. 13), and then 1 from the American.

The ACC had just 3 schools in the final Coaches Poll of the 2022 season, though Pitt held North Carolina’s place as the third team in that final ranking.
