Boston College WR transported to hospital with neck injury
Boston College wide receiver Ryan O’Keefe has been transported to Mass General Hospital after suffering a neck injury vs. Virginia on Saturday.
The program announced that new on Saturday afternoon. O’Keefe collided with UVA cornerback Malcolm Greene in the fourth quarter.

Boston College wide receiver Ryan O’Keefe was immobilized and transported to Mass General Hospital due to a neck injury suffered in this afternoon’s game against Virginia.

O’Keefe received medical attention for several minutes before being carted off. He was able to give a ‘thumbs up’ as he was transported off the field.

O’Keefe is a graduate student from Austin, Texas. He’s in his first season with Boston College after transferring in from UCF. He entered Saturday’s game with 20 catches for 214 yards and 1 touchdown on the season.
Boston College was able to hang to a 27-24 victory at home on Saturday, moving to 2-3 on the season.
