Matt Milano is having himself a game on Monday Night Football for the Buffalo Bills.

The former Boston College standout has collected 3 tackles and 1 interception and it’s not even halftime yet. Jets QB Aaron Rodgers suffered an unfortunate injury just as the game began. and Zach Wilson came in in relief. Wilson ran a few drives before being picked off by Milano late in the 2nd quarter.

The linebacker intercepted the pass around midfield and returned the ball to the Jets 35-yard line. Milano set his team up in a good position to add to their 10-3 lead.

Milano has blossomed into one of the most important pieces on the Buffalo defense. The linebacker signed a 2-year, $28M contract extension with the Bills before the 2023 season. In 2022, the linebacker collected 72 tackles, 1.5 sacks, and 3 interceptions. Tremaine Edmunds departed in free agency for the Chicago Bears, giving Milano a more pivotal role for the Bills.

At Boston College, Milano collected 140 tackles, 32.5 tackles for loss, and 14 sacks.
