Tommy Sweeney, former Boston College TE, reportedly suffers from 'medical event' at Giants practice
Tommy Sweeney, a former Boston College tight end and current New York Giant, went through a scary situation at Giants practice Wednesday afternoon.
According to reports, Sweeney was working on a side field before hitting the ground for “several minutes and (was) being worked on by multiple medical personnel.”
A report from the scene says that Sweeney is now “stable, alert and conversant.”
Update: TE Tommy Sweeney had a medical event and is under the care of medical professionals in the Giants athletic training room. He is stable, alert and conversant.

Sweeney spent the first 3 years of his NFL career with the Buffalo Bills. He landed in New York this offseason.
The Eagle spent 5 years at BC from 2014-2018 before being selected in the 7th Round of the 2019 NFL Draft by Buffalo. He’s totaled 18 receptions for 165 yards and a touchdown across his NFL career, mostly reporting as a blocking tight end.
