Tommy Sweeney, a former Boston College tight end and current New York Giant, went through a scary situation at Giants practice Wednesday afternoon.

According to reports, Sweeney was working on a side field before hitting the ground for “several minutes and (was) being worked on by multiple medical personnel.”

A report from the scene says that Sweeney is now “stable, alert and conversant.”

Sweeney spent the first 3 years of his NFL career with the Buffalo Bills. He landed in New York this offseason.

The Eagle spent 5 years at BC from 2014-2018 before being selected in the 7th Round of the 2019 NFL Draft by Buffalo. He’s totaled 18 receptions for 165 yards and a touchdown across his NFL career, mostly reporting as a blocking tight end.
