Duke was among the teams that saw a significant jump in the latest AP Top 25 poll out on Monday.

The Blue Devils climbed 5 spots to No. 7, which was tied for the third-most of the ranking. Duke is coming off of wins against Louisville, 83-69, and Clemson, 72-71, fueled by Jared McCain’s game-high 21 points. McCain has scored 20 points or more in 5 of the last 11 games.

Duke will meet Virginia Tech on Monday in Blacksburg on ESPN’s “Big Monday.”

Duke’s last win in Blacksburg was on Dec. 6, 2019, as it’s dropped 2 straight.

In the last meeting, Jeremy Roach scored 19 points and 11 assists for his lone career double-double to lead the Blue Devils to an 81-65 home victory on Feb. 25, 2023. Roach leads the ACC and ranks 11th in the nation in assist/turnover ratio (3.44).
