DJ Uiagalelei is heading back to the ACC to take a visit with Florida State, per ESPN’s Pete Thamel.

A source told Thamel that the former Clemson quarterback will be taking an official visit to Tallahassee this weekend.

Uiagalelei transferred out of Oregon State after Jonathan Smith accepted the head coaching job at Michigan State. Uiagalelei accounted for 2,638 passing yards and 27 touchdowns for the Beavers in 12 games played this year.

Clemson is where Uiagalelei started his career in 2020. Uiagalelei saw action as starter in 2 games with Trevor Lawrence out due to Covid-19. Once Lawrence graduated, Uiagalelei took over the starting role from 2021-2022. Uiagalelei accounted for 5,641 yards passing and 51 touchdowns while at Clemson from 2020-2022.

Uiagalelei could play against some of his old Clemson teammates next year if he commits to Florida State. Uiagalelei had 392 yards passing 4 touchdowns, and 1 interception against the Seminoles during his time at Clemson.

A return to the ACC could be in the cards for the former Clemson QB.
