Florida State has garnered a commitment from a highly-touted guard in the transfer portal.

On Friday, La Salle transfer Josh Nickelberry shared the news that he has committed to Florida State. Nickelberry committed to the school during his official visit.

Nickelberry joins the Seminoles as a graduate transfer after two seasons with La Salle, where he averaged 10.9 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 0.7 assists this past season.

The guard also shot 40.7 percent from the field and 40.1 percent from the three-point line. Hamilton ranked second on the team in points per game this past season, and led the team in scoring 16 times in his career at La Salle.

Prior to La Salle, Nickelberry spent 2 seasons at Louisville, where he played sparingly. Originally a part of the 2019 class, Nickelberry was rated as a 4-star prospect and the No. 17 shooting guard in the country. Nickelberry played in 15 games as a freshman. In his sophomore year, Nickelberry missed nine games due to injury before transferring to La Salle.
