The Florida State Seminoles appear to be losing a standout defensive lineman to the transfer portal.

Joshua Farmer, who started for the Seminoles in 2023 and finished with 5 sacks, is reportedly throwing his name in the portal. The Noles have seen several players enter the portal this offseason.

Farmer collected 32 tackles, 5 sacks, 2 pass defenses, and 1 forced fumble in 2023. The defensive lineman was a big part of the Noles finishing with the No. 14 total defense in the nation. Farmer was a rotational piece in 2022, finishing with 15 tackles and 2 sacks.

The lineman was a 3-star recruit in the 2021 class, per the 247Sports composite ranking. Farmer was rated as the No. 79 DL prospect and the No. 89 player out of Florida. Before committing to the Noles, Farmer also received offers from UCLA, Mississippi State, and Tennessee, among others.

The Noles have seen an exodus this offseason, with 14 players entering the transfer portal before Farmer. Linebacker DJ Lundy, running back Rodney Hill, and defensive lineman Ayobami Tifase are other notable losses for the Noles.

However, the Noles did also add some pass rush help, landing ex-Georgia Bulldog Marvin Jones Jr.
