Florida State is hosting 5-star defensive lineman and Florida commit LJ McCray on a recruiting visit this weekend.

NoleGameday’s Dustin Lewis shared photos of McCray arriving to FSU’s campus on Sunday morning. The talented lineman was also in attendance for FSU’s big win over Miami on Saturday night in Tallahassee.

McCray is one of the best defensive lineman prospects in the country. He’s the No. 57 overall player and the No. 10 defensive lineman in the nation for the class of 2024, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

This has been a major recruiting weekend for Florida State. There were numerous notable visitors on campus this weekend from both the class of 2024 and 2025, including 5-star receiver Jeremiah Smith.

Florida State’s win over Miami on Saturday night pushed the Noles to 8-0 on the season. They have now won 16 consecutive games dating back to last season and will look to make it 17 in a row this weekend against North Alabama.

Florida State already has one of the top recruiting classes in the country for the 2024 cycle. The group sits at No. 3 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings. FSU currently has 22 commits in this class.
