Jarrian Jones has decided to enter the 2024 NFL Draft, but will play for the Noles one more time.

The Florida State defensive back announced that he will play for FSU in the Orange Bowl later this month. Jones spent four seasons in Tallahassee and was a critical part of FSU’s turnaround in the secondary in 2023.

Jones thanked his teammates, coaches and the Florida State faithful in his announcement:

Jones initially arrived at Florida State in 2020 after transferring from Mississippi State. He was a 4-year contributor for the Noles, playing in 44 games since he arrived in Tallahassee.

In 2023, Jones made a career-high 25 tackles and 5 tackles for loss. He also intercepted 3 passes (another career-high) and scored the first touchdown of his collegiate career.

Florida State’s pass defense took a big step forward this season, and Jones was a big reason why. The Noles were 2nd nationally in pass defense efficiency rating in 2023 with a mark of 96.50.

FSU will take on Georgia in the Orange Bowl on Dec. 30.
