Jordan Travis tweeted an encouraging update after he left Friday’s game against Louisville with an injury.

He left the game at the end of the first half and did not return. Florida State went on to win the game without Travis under center.

Here was his message after the game:

In the second half, Travis was seen walking on crutches and a walking boot. He supported his team as they held on for a 35-31 win. Tate Rodemaker replaced Travis for the remainder of the game. With his postgame tweet, Travis could return to action sooner than expected.

The injury could have been detrimental to Florida State’s game, as well as the overall season. Before his injury, Travis completed 13 of 17 passes, passed for 157 yards, 2 touchdowns, and 1 interception. He was playing well for the Seminoles and was ready to lead the team to its 3rd victory of the season.

In 3 games this season, Travis has passed for 624 yards, 4 touchdowns, and 1 interception.

Florida State will host Boston College on Saturday, Sept. 24 at 8 p.m. ET.
