Mark Richt has coached at a lot of places, but he’s never been a fan of Gainesville.

The former Georgia and Miami coach had a simple request for FSU coach Mike Norvell on the ACC Network set on Saturday night: beat Florida.

However, Richt used a bit more colorful language.

“I played at Miami, I coached at Florida State, I coached at Georgia and then I coached at Miami,” Richt said. “I know you guys don’t play ’em this week, but … will you do me a favor and kick the Gators’ ass?”

He then shared a fist bump with Norvell before the current FSU coach went on to highlight the importance of that rivalry game. Here’s the clip:

Florida State has been a roll in recent weeks. The Seminoles have now won three straight games by a combined record of 124-22.

As Richt acknowledged, Florida State still has one more opponent before ending the regular season against Florida. FSU will take on Louisiana next weekend in Tallahassee.
