Mike Norvell provided an injury update for defensive tackle Fabien Lovett on Wednesday.

According to the head coach, Lovett will be a game-time decision for the contest against Georgia Tech on Saturday.

Lovett has been dealing with a lower leg injury that he sustained in the LSU win in Week 1, where he recorded 2 tackles.

The Noles shutout Clemson in the fourth quarter of last week’s contest. Although the defense has managed without Lovett, his absence has been felt on the field. Lovett played in 11 games and had 28 total tackles and 2 sacks for the Noles in 2021, and was projected to be an impactful player for Florida State this season.

This is a big game for Florida State as it looks to snap a three-game losing streak. The Seminoles are trying to get to 8+ wins for the first time since the 2016 season.

We’ll see if Lovett makes it to the field this Saturday against Georgia Tech.
