Mike Norvell voices words of encouragement on social media following latest portal entry
Mike Norvell and the Florida State Seminoles have not had the strongest past month.
With the injury to star QB Jordan Travis came the unfortunate circumstance that was this season’s selection process, which left the Seminoles out of the College Football Playoff despite finishing the year with an undefeated record and an ACC Championship under their belt.
And things became even worse for Florida State on Monday pertaining to its upcoming Orange Bowl matchup against Georgia. Backup QB Tate Rodemaker, who played well in place of Travis following his injury, will not participate in the bowl game and is set to enter the transfer portal.
Shortly after this news, potentially as a response, Norvell took to social media to post some words of encouragement to Florida State fans. Check it out below:
The world will let fear affect it, life can be full of disappointing moments, and will always have competition. Be true and honest in the moment you then you can live with all the results. Excited and grateful for each opportunity #KeepCLIMBing #AllWeGotAllWeNeed pic.twitter.com/egkqNGVWPk

The news that Rodemaker is out at FSU means 3rd-string Brock Glenn will get the start against Georgia. Glenn saw brief action against Louisville in the ACC Championship game and threw for 90 yards on 10/25 completions for his full season.
Florida State and Georgia will face off on December 30 at 4 p.m. on ESPN from Miami.
