Brent Key’s Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets know how to pull off an upset. Earlier this month, the Jackets defeated the Miami Hurricanes as 19-point underdogs.

Then, last night, the Jackets did it again as a double-digit underdogs, defeating the North Carolina Tar Heels 46-42.

After the latest upset, Key described the ACC as “the most competitive conference right now.”

Key’s Jackets are right in the thick of things in the ACC. The team is in 4th place as of now, behind Florida State, Louisville, and Virginia Tech.

After Florida State and Louisville, however, a large portion of the conference is neck-and-neck. Eight of the conference’s teams have either 2 or 3 conference wins. Only Pittsburgh, Virginia, Wake Forest, and Syracuse are sitting with 1 conference win.

The Yellow Jackets will head to Virginia next to take on the Cavaliers. The team then ends the season with games against Clemson, Syracuse, and Georgia. The Jackets technically have a chance to win the ACC, with ESPN’s FPI giving the team a 0.1% chance. The Florida State Seminoles have the best odds at 80.2%.
