Georgia Tech loses commitment from 2024 in-state defender
Georgia Tech will be with one less player in its 2024 recruiting class as of Thursday.
Edge rusher C.J. Jackson has decided to decommit from the Yellow Jackets.
He is a 4-star prospect out of Tucker (Ga.) High. The 247Sports Composite ranks Jackson as the No. 15 player at his position and No. 25 prospect out of Georgia.
He comes in at 6-foot-3.5, 225 pounds. He took an official visit to Atlanta on Jun. 23 and committed to Georgia Tech two days later.

The only other ACC school that has shown interest in Jackson so far is Clemson. Ole Miss, Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Michigan State, Tennessee, South Carolina, Indiana, Georgia, Florida, Colorado, Coastal Carolina, and Texas A&M have offered Jackson as well.
The Yellow Jackets now have one edge rusher committed from the class of 2024. Three-star edge rusher Trashun Griffin is the only one at the position pledged to Brent Key.
