Georgia Tech pulled off a miracle road win over Miami on Saturday night.

The Yellow Jackets found themselves losing, out of timeouts and without the ball with under 40 seconds remaining in the game. Instead of kneeling out the clock, Miami chose to run a play and ended up fumbling the ball.

Georgia Tech recovered with 26 seconds remaining on its own 26-yard line. Three plays later, Georgia Tech had won the game on a 44-yard touchdown pass from Haynes King to Christian Leary.

Here’s audio of the radio call from the Georgia Tech Sports Network of the Jackets’ game-winning touchdown:

“Touchdown Jackets! Touchdown Jackets! One second left! Christian Leary! What did we just witness?” the broadcast said.

“I see it and I still don’t believe it.”

It was a historic win for Georgia Tech, who is now 3-3 on the season. The Yellow Jackets need to win this game in order to have a realistic chance of reaching bowl eligibility in 2023.

For Miami, it’s a crushing loss that has the potential to derail a once-promising season for the Canes. Miami opened the year with four straight double-digit wins over nonconference competition.
