Jaire Alexander made a huge, momentum-shifting play in the 1st quarter of the Green Bay Packers’ playoff game against the Cowboys on Sunday.

Facing a 3rd and 5 late in the quarter, Dak Prescott miss-fired on a throw to receiver Brandin Cooks. Alexander was in perfect position to make a play on the ball and came down with the interception.

Here’s a replay of Alexander’s interception:

Alexander was ruled down, so his ensuing return did not count. However, the Packers’ offense was able to cash in on the great field position a few plays later. Aaron Jones gave the Packers a 14-0 lead with a 1-yard touchdown run early on in the 2nd quarter.

Alexander questionable to even play in this game throughout the week due to an ankle injury. However, he decided to give it a go — and made a huge impact on the Packers’ chances to win.

Alexander is in his 6th season out of Louisville. A two-time All-Pro, Alexander has become one of the top defensive backs in the NFL.

This was the 3rd postseason interception of Alexander’s career and his first since 2021. Both of his previous two playoff picks came against Tampa Bay in the 2021 playoffs.
