Former Tennessee DB Wesley Walker is going back to the ACC to complete his college football career.

Walker, who spent two seasons on Rocky Top after beginning his career at Georgia Tech, is transferring to Louisville. He shared the big news on social media Monday.

A 2023 starter, Walker entered the NCAA transfer portal in December ahead of the Vols’ Citrus Bowl game against Iowa. He recorded 53 tackles, a career high, including 3.5 TFLs with 1 sack and 2 passes defended in 10 games.

Walker had 3 freshman seasons in the eyes of the NCAA. In 2019, he played in 2 games at Georgia Tech, taking a redshirt for the year. He entered 2020 as a redshirt freshman, but that season did not count against players’ eligibility due to the pandemic. After playing 10 games in 2021, he was again considered a redshirt freshman for the Yellow Jackets in 2021.

Walker transferred to UT ahead of the 2022 season. In his first season as a Volunteer, he posted 36 total tackles, including a career-high 5.5 TFLs.

In his college career, Walker has logged 184 tackles (11 TFLs) and 12 passes defended, including 1 interception.
