Miami might be closing in on one of the top receivers in the transfer portal.

UCF transfer receiver Jaylon Robinson was in Coral Gables this week as he prepares to make his final commitment. Earlier this week, he announced he was moving up his commitment date to May 15.

Here’s his confirmation:

Robinson would be a huge addition for the Hurricanes, who have significant question marks at receiver going into this season. Charleston Rambo — who set the program’s single-season receiving record last season — is off to the NFL and there’s no obvious replacement.

Xavier Restrepo and Clemson transfer Frank Ladson will certainly get opportunities. But Robinson has proven capable of producing on deep balls at a high level.

Over 2 seasons with the Golden Knights — he played in just 6 games last year — he caught 73 passes for 1,301 yards and 8 touchdowns. He also averaged an impressive 17.8 yards per reception for UCF.

This will be Robinson’s third program since enrolling in college. He began his career at Oklahoma before transferring after 1 season.
