The AP Poll was updated Sunday after a big Week 2 of the 2022 college football season.

Miami rose two spots to No. 13 in the country. Despite struggling with Southern Miss in the first half, Miami took down Southern Miss at home, 30-7.

After wins over Bethune-Cookman and Southern Miss, Miami is set for its biggest matchup so far: No. 24 Texas A&M. The Aggies remained in the top 25 despite a loss on Saturday.

Texas A&M had an embarrassing home 17-14 loss as the No. 6 team in the nation to Appalachian State. Texas A&M only accounted for 186 total yards on offense as well as accounted for 9 first downs.

Miami is 2-1 all-time over Texas A&M as they won the last two matchups in a home and home series in 2007 and 2008. The last time the two teams played each other was in 2008 as Miami won in College Station with a 41-23 score.
