Omier was originally injured in the early moments of an ACC Tournament matchup against Duke. Without the big man in the lineup, the Hurricanes fell despite a late push against the Blue Devils.
The 6-foot-7 Omier leads the Hurricanes with 9.7 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game. He is also 3rd on the team with 13.6 points per game and shoots an efficient 59.1% from the floor this season.
Friday’s NCAA Tournament game between Drake and the Hurricanes is being broadcast on TBS.
