Miami is making an aggressive push to flip the commitment of 4-star receiver prospect Nathaniel Joseph, according to a report.

Joseph has been committed to Clemson since September.

Per 247Sports’ Gaby Urrutia, Miami offensive coordinator Josh Gattis is planning to watch Joseph at his high school practice on Tuesday.

247Sports’ Anna Hickey — who covers Clemson — added that the Tigers are planning to go see Joseph later this week. Hickey also indicated that Clemson could have an uphill battle to keeping Joseph in the fold.

Joseph is originally from Miami, so the allure of staying closer to home could be playing a factor here. He committed to Clemson while Manny Diaz was still the head coach of the Hurricanes.

Joseph is the No. 13 receiver in the country for the class of 2023, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s listed at 5-foot-8, 170 pounds and attends Edison High School in Miami.

For months, he was Clemson’s only commitment in the class of 2023. The Tigers now have 4 commitments after picking up 3 in April, but Joseph remains the only receiver.

Joseph and other 2023 prospects will be able to officially sign with their programs during the Early Signing Period in December.
