Fans rip ABC for playing 'Carolina in my mind' during Duke game
North Carolina fans are not happy with ABC for its choice of music during the Duke-Notre Dame game on Saturday night.
On multiple occasions, ABC used James Taylor’s iconic song, ‘Carolina in my mind’ as commercial bumper music music. That song is strongly with UNC as it has become the school’s unofficial anthem.
Playing the song during a Duke game is a big blunder by ESPN — and one that did not go unnoticed by fans of both North Carolina and Duke who are watching the game.

As for the Carolina-Duke rivalry on the field, the two teams will meet later this season in Chapel Hill. Last season, UNC squeaked out a 38-35 win over Duke in Durham.
North Carolina has won 4 straight meetings in this series and holds an all-time record advantage of 63-41-4 over the Blue Devils.
