George Karl isn’t happy with how Duke fans reacted to the Blue Devils’ win in Chapel Hill on Saturday night.

The longtime NBA head coach was quick to remind fans about how last year’s meetings with UNC went — the Tar Heels spoiled Mike Krzyzewski’s final home game and ended Duke’s season in the Final Four.

Here was Karl’s reaction:

Karl played for North Carolina from 1970-73. He was a 1st team All-ACC selection as a senior.

Duke’s win over North Carolina on Saturday night was substantial. The Tar Heels will now likely need to make a deep run in the ACC Tournament in order to reach the Big Dance.

A year ago, the Tar Heels went all the way to the National Championship Game. They returned 4 starters from that team — replacing Brady Manek with Pete Nance — but struggled to gain momentum this season.

North Carolina will play its 1st ACC Tournament game on Wednesday.
