No. 16 BYU is trending in the right direction before Saturday’s Shamrock Series against Notre Dame.

According to ESPN’s Pete Thamel, the Cougars will have both star receivers Puka Nacua and Gummer Romney available together for the first time this season.

Nacua has played in 2 games this season while Romney returned for the first time last week in BYU’s 38-26 win over Utah State.

The Cougars continue to have success through the air behind the arm of quarterback Jaren Hall. This season, Hall has completed 70.2% of his throws for 1,438 yards and 12 touchdowns against 1 interception.

Last week, Romney totaled 4 catches for 51 yards. In the 2 games active this season, Nauca has recorded 4 catches for 45 yards. Last season, Nauca finished with a team-high 43 catches for 805 yards and 6 touchdowns. Romney finished second on the roster with 34 catches for 594 yards.

Notre Dame enters Saturday with a 2-2 record. Quarterback Drew Pyne finally took a step in the right direction in the Irish’s 45-32 win over North Carolina, throwing for 289 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Kickoff from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas is set for 7:30 p.m. E.T. The game will be televised on NBC.
