Current Notre Dame commit Drayk Bowen made his pitch for 5-star safety Peyton Bowen to remain with the Fighting Irish on Thursday night.

“We been planning on doing it different for a long time,” Bowen wrote on twitter. “Tune out that noise and lets turn up The Bend.”

Peyton Bowen has been committed to Notre Dame for almost a year. He’s the top-ranked prospect in Notre Dame’s 2023 recruiting class, but rumors about his recruitment have been swirling for months.

Earlier this week, multiple national recruiting analysts predicted that Bowen will flip to Oklahoma before signing day.

If that does happen, it would be a huge loss for Notre Dame’s signing class. Bowen is ranked as the No. 14 overall player and the No. 2 safety in the country, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

His departure would mean that Drayk Bowen would become Notre Dame’s top-ranked defensive recruit in this class. He’s the No. 96 overall player and the No. 8 linebacker, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

The Early Signing Period begins on Wednesday, Dec. 21.
