Former Notre Dame offensive linemen Zack Martin and Quenton Nelson were named to All-Pro rosters on Friday afternoon.

Martin made the first team while Nelson was honored with the second team. Notre Dame acknowledged both achievements following the announcement:

Martin just finished his eighth NFL regular season, all with the Dallas Cowboys. He started 16 games for the Cowboys this season, who will face the San Fransisco 49ers in the playoffs this weekend.

This was Martin’s fifth first-team All-Pro selection as he’s long been regarded as one of the best linemen in the game.

For Nelson, this is the first time in his career that he hasn’t earned first-team All-Pro honors. He settles for second-team this season after playing in just 13 games for the Indianapolis Colts. Cleveland’s Joel Bitonio earned the first-team selection at left guard this season.

Martin and Nelson were both first round draft picks. The Fighting Irish are expected to have at least one more first round pick this season in safety Kyle Hamilton. Running back Kyren Williams has also declared for the draft after an impressive career in South Bend.

Nelson’s season is over, but Martin and the Cowboys will face the 49ers on Sunday at 4:30 p.m. ET.
