Las Vegas is a city known for bringing luck to some and turmoil to others. What will it give Notre Dame in Week 6 against No. 16 BYU?

According to ESPN’s stats and info, the Irish are 12-5 against the spread when facing ranked opponents since 2018.

The Cougars enter Saturday ranked No. 16 in the nation after starting the year off 4-1. BYU has also failed to cover the spread  3 games after covering in their first 2 games this season.

Notre Dame enters Allegiant Stadium at 2-2 following back-to-back wins over Cal and North Carolina. Quarterback Drew Pyne finally found his footing against the Tar Heels, going 24-of-34 passing for 289 yards and 3 touchdowns. The defense. however, will need to play better against BYU’s Jaren Hall if the Irish expect to win.

In Week 4’s win over the Tar Heels, the Irish allowed UNC’s Drake Maye to throw for 301 yards and 5 touchdowns. Norte Dame held UNC’s rushing attack to only 66 yards.

BYU is expected to have both star receivers Puka Nacua and Gunner Romney for the first time together this season. In 2 games, Nacua totaled 4 catches for 49 yards.

Romney, who finished last season with 34 catches for 591 yards, recorded 4 catches for 51 yards in last week’s 38-26 win over Utah State.
