Notre Dame picked up a major recruiting win on Thursday evening.

The Fighting Irish added a commitment from 4-star running back prospect Jayden Limar.

Here’s his announcement:

He also had offers from programs like Arizona, Washington, Miami, Michigan and Texas A&M, amongst other top teams.

Limar is the No. 22 running back in the country for the class of 2023, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 4 prospect from the state of Washington.

He fills an immediate void in Notre Dame’s recruiting class. Last week, the Fighting Irish lost a commitment from running back Sedrick Irvin Jr.

Notre Dame is expected to take 2 running backs in this class. The Fighting Irish are in the mix for 5-star Richard Young, who recently announced he will take an official visit to South Bend.

Overall, Notre Dame is off to a great start in the class of 2023. Marcus Freeman’s staff is back up to 13 commitments overall and the class ranks No. 1 nationally, per 247Sports composite rankings.
