Notre Dame remains in the mix for 4-star cornerback Kaleb Beasley.

The Fighting Irish made the top-10 for the 2024 cornerback, which he announced on Saturday afternoon. Notre Dame joins Penn State, Michigan, Georgia, Florida, Auburn, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Clemson and LSU.

Here’s his announcement:

Beasley could end up being a key recruit for Notre Dame. He’s the No. 26 cornerback in the country for the class of 2024, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 3 player from Tennessee.

It’s still early in Beasley’s recruitment — he won’t be able to officially sign until December of 2023 — but this is another sign of Notre Dame’s progress on the recruiting trail.

The Fighting Irish already have 5 commitments in the class of 2024, led by 5-star quarterback CJ Carr. The class ranks No. 1 nationally, per 274 Sports Composite rankings. Notre Dame also holds the No. 1 spot in the 2023 rankings as of publication.

According to 247Sports’ timeline, Notre Dame was one of the first major programs to offer Beasley a scholarship. His initial offer went out in November of 2021 — when Marcus Freeman was still the program’s defensive coordinator.

Beasley attends Lipscomb High School in Nashville, Tennessee. He’s listed at 6-foot, 179 pounds.
