This will be the first home game of the Marcus Freeman era. The Fighting Irish are 31-2 at home over the past 5 seasons.
It’s also the first home start for quarterback Tyler Buchner. Notre Dame’s offense will be looking for more efficiency against Marshall on Saturday afternoon.
Notre Dame is coming off a 21-10 defeat vs. Ohio State in Week 1. The Irish were shutout in the second-half against the Buckeyes as Buchner completed just 2 passes after halftime.
Marshall is coming off a 55-3 win over Norfolk State on opening weekend. Quarterback Henry Colombi, a Texas Tech transfer, threw for 205 yards and 1 touchdown. He completed 24-of-26 passes in the win.
Kickoff is at 2:30 p.m. ET on NBC.
