Notre Dame wide receiver commit Cam Williams received a big rankings bump from 247Sports this week.

Williams is now the No. 57 overall prospect in the country, according to the service. He was previously ranked No. 78 nationally.

This continues a steady trend in Williams’ evaluation. He was ranked No. 178 nationally when he committed to the Fighting Irish back in June. He has quickly moved up the rankings as more evaluators have been able to scout his game.

Williams is now the No. 43 overall player in the Composite. If he continues to rise up the rankings, he could reach 5-star status by the end of the 2024 cycle.

Williams attends Glenbard South High School in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. He’s listed at 6-foot-2, 185 pounds.

He’s the second highest-ranked prospect in Notre Dame’s class behind only quarterback CJ Carr. Carr is the No. 31 overall prospect nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

Overall, Notre Dame has seven commitments in this class already. Six of those players are 4-star prospects, giving Notre Dame the No. 1-ranked class in the country according to 247Sports Composite rankings.
