Syracuse has reportedly found its new cornerbacks coach, and he comes to the Orange via the Big Ten.

Per a report from Pete Thamel of ESPN on Sunday, ex-Nebraska DB coach Travis Fisher will take the CB coach job on Dino Babers’ staff in 2023.

Fisher spent the 2015-17 seasons at UCF and then moved to Nebraska from 2018-22 under then-coach Scott Frost:

Syracuse went 7-6 in 2022, losing to Minnesota in the Pinstripe Bowl, 28-20. They started the year 6-0, rising to No. 14 in the AP Poll before losing 6 of 7 games to end the season.

Syracuse’s pass defense finished No. 14 in the nation in 2022, allowing only 184.8 yards per game to opposing passers.
