It’s been all Wake Forest early.

The Demon Deacons scored their first drive of the season and barely broke a sweat. Following a field goal, wide receiver Jahmal Banks put up TD No. 2. And it was a beauty.

Banks mossed the Elon defensive back for the score, an early Catch of the Year candidate, if you will. Check it out below:

How about that for a hot start, WF fans?

The Demon Deacons surely aren’t playing Alabama’s secondary, but the start of the season could not be going any better. Mitch Griffis has looked strong in place of Sam Hartman at Notre Dame, connecting on 9 of his early 12 passes for 152 yards and 2 touchdowns. And we’re barely done with the first quarter, folks.

Wake Forest leads Elon 17-0 with 12:32 remaining in the 2nd.
