Miami will open the 2024 campaign with a road game against in-state rival Florida. This is a relatively rare meeting between two of the state’s top programs. This will mark just the 3rd meeting in the last 15 seasons for Miami and UF. The Canes’ ACC opener will take place on Friday night of Week 5 as they renew their series with Virginia Tech.

Miami is gearing up for a huge season in 2024. The Hurricanes are expected to be amongst the favorites to win the ACC next season. Miami has not won a conference title since it was a member of the Big East Conference.

Mario Cristobal and his staff have had a big offseason. The biggest addition to the roster so far has been former Washington State quarterback Cam Ward, who was arguably the top available quarterback transfer of the offseason. Ward initially decided to declare for the NFL Draft, but reversed that decision and will instead lead the Hurricanes next season.

Miami also signed a highly-rated recruiting class in 2024. The Canes’ class, which is led by a pair of 5-star defensive linemen, is ranked No. 4 in the country according to 247Sports Composite rankings.
