Miami transfer QB target reportedly enters portal as possible waiver looms
Miami continues to search for a transfer portal quarterback, but on Friday an intriguing option reportedly entered the market.
The Hurricanes have been linked to former Washington State QB Cam Ward, former Liberty QB Kaidon Salter, and former Kansas State QB Will Howard, but the latest reported entry to the portal is even more intriguing.
Maryland QB Taulia Tagovailoa is looking for a change of scenery, but also will likely need a waiver from the NCAA to gain another year of eligibility as his stints at Alabama and Maryland have covered 5 seasons and exhausted his eligibility.

Tagovailoa owns a slew of Maryland program records, and is also the Big Ten all-time passing leader with 11,256 yards. He was also a two-time second-team All-Big Ten player. Tagovailoa did not play in the Music City Bowl win over Auburn, and that was after coach Mike Locksley said there was “mutual respect” in parting ways.
