Notre Dame made a major addition in the transfer portal on Monday evening.

The Fighting Irish picked up a commitment from ex-Arizona State defensive back Jordan Clark.

Here’s his announcement:

Clark is one of the more experienced cornerbacks in all of college football. He comes to Notre Dame after 5 seasons with the Sun Devils where he was a regular contributor for 3 of them.

In his career, Clark totaled 139 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, 3 interceptions and 17 pass breakups. He recorded a career-high 9 pass-breakups during the 2023 campaign.

Notre Dame has at least 3 defensive backs who are expected to depart this offseason in Cam Hart, DJ Brown and Thomas Harper. Clark will bring a veteran presence and plenty of experience to Notre Dame’s secondary in 2024.

Clark is Notre Dame’s first transfer commitment so far this cycle. The Fighting Irish are expected to be aggressive in the portal this offseason.

Clark will have 1 year of eligibility to make an impact in South Bend.
