Notre Dame is out with the details for the annual Blue-Gold game, and it will be April 20 on Peacock. Tickets for the contest are $10.

The Fighting Irish will have plenty of new faces in the scrimmage, starting with transfer quarterback Riley Leonard and return of Mike Denbrock as offensive coordinator. Coach Marcus Freeman is looking to turn the Fighting Irish back into a contender for the expanded College Football Playoff.

At LSU, Denbrock’s offense led the nation in total offense (547.8 yards per game) and scoring offense (46.4 points per game) as Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Jayden Daniels had a special season.

The Notre Dame offense will have plenty of changes from last season after it lost top running back Audric Estime, and the top 3 wide receivers from the 2023 season.

Overall, Notre Dame added 8 players in the transfer portal, and lost 15 from last season’s roster.

Notre Dame landed at No. 9 in Joel Klatt’s way-too-early top-10 as he noted the offensive additions, and a “manageable” schedule that includes just 3 true road games next year, as well as two neutral-site contests.
