Boogie Basham was traded by the Buffalo Bills Tuesday morning after just 2 seasons in the NFL with the AFC East contender.

And though he won’t be going far geography-wise, Basham will be crossing conference lines. He’ll stay in-state and play for the New York Giants in 2023.

The Giants have been very active Tuesday morning ahead of the 4 p.m. deadline to finalize rosters to 53. They activated Wan’Dale Robinson off the PUP list and waived veteran WR and former Duke standout Jamison Crowder.

As for Boogie, the move to New York is likely for depth reasons. The former Bills pass rusher has had a decent start to his NFL career but has run into some injury issues (calf) that kept him off the field for half of last season.

He enters Year 3 having totaled 37 tackles, 5 tackles for loss, 1 interception and 4.5 sacks in 23 total games with zero starts.
