Notre Dame has officially finalized its 2024 football schedule.

The Fighting Irish will kickoff Year 3 of the Marcus Freeman era against Texas A&M in College Station on Aug. 31. The home-opener will come one week later against Northern Illinois in South Bend.

Because of the way the calendar falls, Notre Dame will have two idle weeks this season. The Fighting Irish will be off on Oct. 5 and Nov. 2. Those off weeks fall before big home games for Notre Dame — against Stanford on Oct. 12 and Florida State on Nov. 9.

Notre Dame will play the first of its five games against ACC opponents on Sept. 28 against Louisville. Last season, the Cardinals defeated Notre Dame so the Irish will be looking to avenge that defeat. Notre Dame will also face Stanford, Georgia Tech, Florida State and Virginia from the ACC in 2024.

Notre Dame will close out the 2024 campaign with a road game against USC. That game could have serious College Football Playoff implications for both programs. Notre Dame has won five of the last six meetings in that series.

Broadcast designations for each game will be revealed at a later date. All that’s known so far is that Notre Dame’s November contest against Army will be broadcast on NBC and Peacock. That game will be played in Yankee Stadium as part of the Shamrock Series.
